UEF9P is designed to provide highly accurate location abilities to the next generation applications. It consists of  a LNA, a dual patch antenna and ZED-F9P u-blox chipset, which is with integrated multi-band RTK technology for centimeter-level accuracy. FST-UEF9P comes with built-in support for standard RTCM corrections, supporting centimeter navigation from local base stations or from virtual reference stations.

The FST-UEF9P supports multiple bands to receive and track signals from four major GNSS constellations (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou) and provides multi-band RTK (Real Time Kinematics) with fast convergence times and reliable performance. The FST-UEF9P can also receive signals from the Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS) concurrently which is a regional navigation satellite system that transmits additional L1 C/A and L2 C signals for the pacific region covering Japan and Australia.

When operating in RTK mode, RTCM version 3 messages are required and the FST-UEF9P supports Differential GNSS (DGNSS) according to RTCM 10403.3.
