Description

The M100 series is our first ARM embedded monitor series designed for IHD (In Home Display) related to AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) systems. Based on years of accumulated technical expertise, we supply highly optimized products while minimizing customer inconvenience and defects. This series is being applied to medical devices and various other industrial equipment due to its reliable performance.

The M100 series is designed as an open-frame type featuring a TFT LCD, touch screen, and ARM embedded single-board computer. The TFT LCD can be designed according to user specifications, and the touch screen supports both resistive and capacitive types. The ARM embedded single-board computer is an early model using Nexell's NXP2120/700 MHz and adopts Win CE 6.0 as its operating system. Supported LCD sizes range from 7 inches to 12.1 inches, with resolutions up to HD-level 1024 x 768 (4:3). While originally designed for monitoring power consumption in IHD equipment, the design has been modified to suit the beauty and medical device industry alongside its development. The ARM embedded single-board computer provides various interfaces such as UART, RS-232C, and USB. One of the advantages of using it as an HMI (Human Machine Interface) is the provision of an optimized interface. For beauty and medical devices, systems often require one or more RS-232C communications to interact with the main MCU. The M100 series supports two RS-232C ports and one USB port, which is used for debugging during GUI (Graphic User Interface) development. Additionally, SD cards and external speakers are supported. While general embedded computers offer bundled interfaces like Ethernet, USB, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, and GPIO, actual system usage is often very limited. The M100 or MX series provides only the optimized interfaces required by the user.

The M100 series has proven its performance and quality over 10 years of supply to the medical device market. Along with the advancement of ARM embedded single-board computer CPUs, we have launched new models. The CPU for the ARM embedded single-board computer used in the MX series is the CoAsia Nexell S5P6818 (Designed by Samsung) Octa-core Cortex-A53, and it utilizes open-source Linux 4.4.8 as the operating system.
